About FamilySAFE Texas - Your Texas Shelter Experts

There is nothing more precious than family. As parents, daughters, sons, spouses, nothing is more important to us than keeping our families safe. That is what FamilySAFE is all about. It's in our name. FamilySAFE was created to help keep families safe during the unexpected storms that threaten our homes and cause us to no longer feel safe. The words "take shelter" are often heard when we least expect it. FamilySAFE was born out of a need to have that "shelter" readily available the moment that warning is heard.

My journey with FamilySAFE has been shaped by the EF4 tornado from May 15, 2013, that devastated Granbury, Texas, my neighborhood, and my beloved community. One of the most pivotal moments was facing the destructive force of the tornado on the Brazos River in 2013. The horrific sound of the 190-mph howling winds of destruction in complete darkness was a life-altering experience. We instantly had no power, internet, or cell phone service. The total destruction was not evident until daylight the next morning. 

I went house to house checking on my neighbors. My community was devastated.  Many lives and homes were lost in this devastating event. This moment ignited a deep passion within me for storm safety prevention. I realized the importance of weathering the storm and actively working to prevent and mitigate its impact. Driven by this commitment, I partnered with FamilySAFE to make a difference in storm-prone communities. Together, we focus on storm safety education, preparedness, and prevention initiatives with our steel shelters. Our goal is to empower communities to face storms with resilience and preparedness. 

Texas is my home and territory, but it's not just a job or a company to work for. It's my mission, "my calling" so to speak. We are dedicated to the mission and will strive to equip any resident in the state of Texas. Join me on this mission to create safer, more resilient communities where individuals are equipped to face the unpredictable forces of nature.
